＊＊＊　冠詞　＊＊＊

ポイント１: 

＊　数えられる名詞の単数形の前には、一般的に [a] か [the] を付けますが、その言葉が特定されていない場合は [a] を付けます。 
＊　聞き手がその言葉が何かを知っている時や、一般的に明らかな場合は [the] を付けます。
＊　数えられる名詞が２度目に出てきた時は [the] を付けます。


ポイント２: 

＊　数えられない名詞、数えられる名詞の複数形、が一般的な意味で使われている時は [the] は付けません。
I like listening to music. 
I love nature. 
I like cats better than dogs. 

＊　数えられない名詞、数えられる名詞の複数形、が「特定なもの」をさす場合は [the] を使います。
What's the music you were playing just now ?  
The dogs in this neighborhood are very noisy. 
 

ポイント３: 

＊　数えられない名詞には [a] を付ける事はありません。
weather, scenery, news, information, furniture, travel, luggage, baggage, advice, health, research, progress など。

We had terrible weather. 
We saw some beautiful scenery. 
I got some good news. 
I got a good piece of news. 
 

ポイント４: 

＊　食事の名前の前には [a] [the] は付けません。
　We had lunch in a French restaurant. 
We had dinner together. 


ポイント５: 

＊　[same] の前には常に [the] が必要です。
I have lived in the same house all my life.  　


ポイント６: 

＊　「第二次世界大戦」という時、[the Second World War] と[the] を付けますが、[World War ?] の前には [the] は付けません。
Japan was defeated in the Second World War. 
Japan was defeated in World War ?.
